Conference and FAB Art Exhibitions
The University was pleased to host FAB at Farnham, the latest FAB (foundation and beyond) conference in November 2013. FAB at Farnham followed in the established tradition of FAB Conferences which began in 1995 and is intended to provide information and insight, as well as a networking opportunity to any professionals involved in the progression of students from further to higher education in art, design, architecture, craft or media including film.
FAB at Farnham delegates included lecturers and leaders of foundation studies, level 3 diploma and extended diploma courses as well as GCE A level tutors, curriculum managers and careers advisors or teachers of art & design subjects in earlier stages of the curriculum. We also recognise the conference is of interest to those involved in the planning and regulation or funding of creative arts education or the future employment of students from the sector.
Nearly 100 delegates from across England, Scotland and Wales attended FAB at Farnham and listened to four distinguished or influential decision makers in exploring current developments in pre-degree art and design education.
FAB Art Exhibitions were held in the James Hockey Gallery at Farnham during the conference and in Tokyo in March 2014.
UCA will be organising the next FAB Conference and sending regular news and events updates to conference delegates.
