MFA Photography Graduate Hao Xu in group show
The Tabula Rasa Gallery www.gallerytabularasa.com are showing an Exhibition "Elemental Landscape" curated by Yining He, and featuring work by Farnham MFA Photography graduate, Xu Hao. The exhibition runs from 16th July 2016 to 16th September 2016By employing “landscape” as the theme, the Elemental Landscape has decided to display the works of Chen Xiaoyi, Lin Shu, Lu Yanpeng and Xu Hao to show how aesthetics, traditional philosophy and literal moral in Chinese Shanshui paintings play their parts in the process of these reproductions.Read More

Amanda Couch wins award at Oxford Symposium
Amanda Couch's performance presentation at this year's Oxford Symposium on Food and Cookery, 'A Woman Holding a Liver' won the prize of Best Presentation by a non-Student First-time Presenter.'A Woman Holding a Liver’ consisted of a contextual paper followed by a live examination of a freshly acquired lamb’s liver. Collectively, audience/participants chose the question, ‘Will the UK invoke article 50?’ Undergoing a divination ritual based on ancient Mesopotamian and Greek extispicy methods, the liver responded with ‘no’.Read More
Pompidou Centre hosts Karen Knorr exhibition
UCA Professor of Photography, Karen Knorr recently exhibited work as part of 'The Unbearable Lightness: The 1980's' exhibition at the Pompidou Centre, in Paris. The exhibition celebrated and examines the crucical period of the 1980s in terms of Photography and Film and culture. Steffi Klenz awarded BBC Creative Residency
Former BBC Television Centre hosts artists’ residenciesEight artists including UCA Reader in Photography Steffi Klenz, Catherine Yass, Hilary Powell, Resonance FM, James Rigler, Alan Warburton, Hannah Dargavel-Leafe, Jack West and are taking part in a creative residency at the soon to be demolished former Television Centre's East Tower. Commissioned by White Noise and Stanhope Development, a research project exploring urban change, these eight artists will create work that responds to the site, which is set for demolition and redevelopment later in the year.Read More
